21 Oct PrairieLand Partners to Build New Facility in McPherson
Sentinel Staff Writer
Prairieland Partners plans to begin construction of a new dealership at Moccasin Road and Interstate 135 within the next 60 days.
The new facility will be between 90,000 and 100,000 square feet and bring an additional 10 to 15 jobs to the county. The new facility will replace Prairieland Partners’ existing facility at 1411 Old U.S. Highway 81.
Prairieland Partners asked the McPherson County Commission Monday morning to grant $10 million in industrial revenue bonds. This will allow the county to grant the business up to 10 years of property tax abatement.
The county will not have any money invested in the project, as Prairieland Partners will sell the bonds to other parties.
The business plans to sell the existing facility, though when this might happen is not certain. It also is unknown when construction will be completed.
