21 Jun Western Green Chooses McPherson, Kansas as Home to their New Manufacturing Operation
Evansville, IN – Wednesday, June 19, 2019 – Western Green, a leading manufacturer of Rolled Erosion Control and Sediment Control Products, announced that they would open a new manufacturing facility in McPherson, Kansas.
“Western Green has grown by providing environmentally-conscious products and by building lasting customer relationships,” said Howard Davidson, Vice President of Operations, Western Green. “The expansion into McPherson, Kansas will help us meet current and future market demand for our product in the Central US, due to the location being a strong regional hub for manufacturing and transportation.”
Western Green is projected to begin renovations of an existing building in McPherson’s Kit Industrial Park. The company anticipates that the facility will begin manufacturing operations in August 2019. When complete, Western Green will employ close to 25 people in McPherson.
“A central location in McPherson gives us easy access to many markets and positions Western Green to offer our robust array of erosion and sediment control products to our customers in this region,” said Zach Snyder, President, Western Green. “McPherson, Kansas is a progressive community and shares our company’s environmentally conscious mentality; currently 15% of the McPherson BPU’s energy supply comes from renewable sources and that percentage will grow to 30% by the end of 2020.”
