22 May Archrock Services Announces Expansion in McPherson!
The McPherson County Board of Commissioners gave the approval for a tax exemption Archrock Services LP, for economic development purposes. Among those making the presentation regarding the request were Keith Birkhead, President of MIDC (McPherson Industrial Development Commission) and Mitch Opat, General Manager for Archrock.
Archrock is looking to expand the number of manufacturing companies they service, which at the moment is 12. Opat added that the expansion would allow the company to do a better job of separating out product lines and become more efficient with production space.
According to the numbers presented, the 10,000-square foot metal building expansion planned by Archrock Services will present a net benefit for all taxing entities over a 10-year period of $5,934,907. The information presented to the County Commissioners listed a net benefit of $722,303 to the City of McPherson, a net benefit of $671,507 to McPherson County, a net benefit of $246,243 to McPherson USD 418, a net benefit to the McPherson Recreation Commission of $4,596, and a net benefit to the State of Kansas of $4,290,258.
Opat also pointed out to the Commissioners that the Archrock services industrial turbine engines and generators, the average tenure of employees with Archrock is 16-years and they take pride in door-to-door service by even having their own truck driver/delivery people.
